Keith Bebeto Mweemba has officially taken over as President of the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ), bringing with him a background in law, entrepreneurship, and football development.

Mweemba is no stranger to the local football scene. He is the founder of Maestro United Zambia Football Club (MUZA FC), a Mazabuka-based team that has grown from a local academy into a top-flight contender. Under his leadership, MUZA FC reached the CAF Confederation Cup and finished second in the Zambia Super League during the 2022–23 season.

Speaking after his election, Mweemba stressed his commitment to inclusive leadership. “Every club deserves equal attention and support,” he said, adding that he hopes to foster greater collaboration across the football community.

His presidency comes at a time when stakeholders are calling for more unity, improved administration, and a renewed focus on player development at all levels.
